Part swatch book and part field guide, The Chute Studio Riso Ink Color Guide to Bacteria collects 25 standard and special edition Riso inks and pairs each with its own bacteria species. Printed across the three Risograph machines at Chute Studio in Berkeley, CA, it includes all current inks as well as a few “legacy” colors.

Each swatch contains color and model/print mode information, text, line and gradient examples, and a photographic image to demonstrate the tonal range and vibrancy of each ink.

It’s also stuffed with bacteria facts (#bactfacts) because the book needed a theme and I’ve always wanted to make a zine about bacteria. Hmu if you ever want to talk microbes.
