Why is writing esty copy such a pain?
So much fun at San Francisco Zinefest this weekend. Thanks to everyone who bought my book, sold me a book, or traded books with me.
Thanks especially to the gal who told me she had been stalking my tumblr (you bought both books! you’re the best!), the guy who took a safety bird pin and immediately stuck it on the back of his cap, and the girl who said her roommate bought one of my books at the Edicola newsstand on Market St. (I wish I had been at the table to meet you). And of course, thank you to the organizers of and volunteers for the event.
My haul was nothing short of incredible. It will probably take me the rest of the week to read through everything I took home yesterday.
I’ll be counting and photographing the remainder of my stock to put up on etsy in the next day or two. I’m also planning on vending at the East Bay Alternative Book & Zine fest in December. By then I should have “Never Break Up on Facebook” (an illustrated zine) all done and printed. Hope to see you there too!

I originally wanted to illustrate most/all of this zine, but it wasn’t quite coming together the way I would’ve liked. So I’ve instead dug up some old photos from 2004-2006. I’m protecting the innocent (meaning, those who actually enjoyed grad school) by replacing their faces with lab birds.

I’m working with some photos I took during school (2004-2006) to get them photocopy-ready.

I’m still editing the text, but I think it’s tightening up.
